I had another bad platelet donation experience last week. This time the pressure of the returning blood was too high and it popped the vein. Then we tried to put the blood back in the other arm and THAT vein popped. I've got some fairly spectacular bruises. I think I'm going to go back to just donating whole blood.

Urgh, donating platelets is a lot harder than whole blood. At least this time I didn't get sick. (Yay to no projectile vomiting!) Still, it really wiped me out ( Read more... )
